Inspiration!
So I found this amazing blog yesterday, and I feel like I should share it. (Especially since I found tons of material for my research book)
It's called I need a Guide, and they share everything from drawings and paintings to photography and photomanipulations.
Another great blog, is the blog of my great friend Joan Bagger Andersen. Her blog is in Danish, but her art translates to all languages. She's amazing.
Studio Meez is so cool as well. Nature Photography with a serene feel to it, and just very calm photography in general.

Here's a bit more for my project Summertime.

Heading towards the Dark(room)

Here's a picture from the Berlin Zoo |
Well, I do have access to the one in my old school, but it's 5½ hours away with the train. It's frustrating, because it means the amount of analogue photography from me will be at an minimum. Jesus Christ I am so stressed...
I have to send the application before January 15, so it's not that I don't have enough time. I would just be stoked if I was done with more than two projects.
If any of you out there knows about a darkroom in Copenhagen, please please PLEASE tell me about!
I am very desperate.

Picidy-pictures!
Here's a little dump of some pictures that hasn't been used for anything:
Just to show a little of what different types of photography I do. Digital, normal analogue 35 mm film, and last a glass negative. I love experimenting with all kinds of techniques. I even do some mixed media once in a while, which can be seen in my book project.

The Bereaved.
I just learned three old classmates and one dear friend got accepted to GSA. I am insanely happy for them, but I couldn't help feeling jealous, and all the old thoughts recurred. "I am not good enough anyways, of course they came in, they are so much better than me..."
I need to stop thinking like that. I just need to know, how they dealt with the application. Especially the personal statement.
When you apply for GSA (Glasgow School of Arts) and don't get in, you get a feedback score sheet.

This is how they score your application:
And this is my score:
As you can see, I only needed 4 more points to get to the interview. Believe me, I was not happy when I received this and saw how close I had been.
What did make me happy was my score on my pictures. They're "good evidence of required ability". I am stoked about that!

Oh well, more pages with projects coming up! Stay updated.

The struggle of making it.
I want to take a bachelor in Fine Art Photography at the Glasgow School of Art. That's the main reason why I made this blog. I need to vent somewhere, and I need to upload my thoughts and pictures somewhere. I just need to get something out, I don't know what to be honest.
Well, to get into GSA, I need to do really good research material. I tried last year, and didn't even make it to the interviews. Mainly because everything else than my pictures, wasn't good enough. Like personal statements and research material... All that jazz.
What I need to do;

What I need to do;
Make research material - find inspiration, write it down, print out pictures for research book
Make at least 5 presentable projects
Projects in the making:
Summertime
Under my Skin
Danish
(if you press the titles of the projects, it'll lead you to the pages of the projects, so you can see what pictures I am considering to put in it.)

So, welcome to this crazy world of trying to be good enough to make it.
